I've never done it, but based on some reviews, while you are in there, you might want to get some absorption to dampen the inside of the top rail.

The tweeter signal bounces off of it and causes some small response issues. If you are going to replace the cover, you might as well staple some thick batting around the inside of the top frame, especially the rail that faces the listener.
