Possible upgrade time

Hey Guys,
I have a few stereo $$ put a side and I am wondering where to place them. Some of my thoughts go like this:
- up grade my Sony 707 esd CD player dedicated as a transport player. At one point the analog portion was upgraded by JffRowland be cause the pots have been trimmed and that whole section has obviously be professionally worked on. When switchd on it sounds prety darn good for a 16 bit w/8X over sample but not as good as the Bel Canto. In 88' it was 2nd from top and is built like a tank with a massive analogue transformer and a newly replaced laser. All copper coating inside and just well built (35lbs). One possible upgrade but it would have to be a supurb sounding transport to get me to let go of it.
-Bel Canto 1.1 DAC. I like it a lot but there are better ones these days
-Upgrade my Coincident Super Eclipse II speakers to the III version. This is supposed to make a huge improvement speaker wise. Cost, $1,500 including shipping.
-upgrade my Quicksilver "Full Function" preamp to another type of preamp. This is an active preamp with a huge power supply which produces very sweet and delicate music with the right vintage tube combination.
-Last possible change is to upgrade my Chimera Advantage I to the II version interconect from the DAC to the preamp. I have Dennis's speaker cables and the musical spectrum is very full with detail and reproduces amazing bass for such 'skinny' cables. It must truley be the copper he uses.

As for amps, well I would want at least 5-6k to spend to replace the ones now. Still after 4 years they continue to satisfy my ears. These are Tom Tutay's revised version of the huge Altec Lansing 1570b mono blocks with DHT PP 572b tubes in Triode producing a very clear 140 watts. I use the 572b DHT tubes over the 811a and enjoy them emensly. Arthur Salvator has a good reference on these amps on his website.

So, I think it will be either the speakers or a differnt DAC which will bump up my over all sonics to my system I am thinking. However, I would apprecieate some feed back on other equipment people own or know which may add improvement over the items I have listed above.
Thanks,

T.T. Lansing
