Have two systems. It had never crossed my mind before but I have a solid-state DAC, preamp, phono stage, and tape deck: all I need is a power amp. I'll use the EPIs for SS and create an entirely new SET system around a pair of Klipsch RB-61s or RB-81s (probably the latter; better to pay $150 more now and have the better product for years). Bottlehead 2A3 amp (Paramount), preamp, phono stage, and the S.E.X. amp used as a head amp -- all tubes. Add on a Scott Nixon TDkit with the PSU upgrade for the DAC, and I've got an entire second system that's completely tubes except for the tape deck.It's going to take so, so much money and so, so many months, but it'll be worth it. The hardest part will be finding the space!
