Hello! I picked up a pair of Whafedale W60 speakers...it seems the previous owner cut the wires from the crossover to the mid and woofer on one of the speakers....why? I have no idea! Both drivers are in perfect condition!Anyway, the wires are very short to start with so I am going to replace them....will I notice any difference if I use a higher quality wire?
Should I replace the caps while I'm in there? The one speaker sounds absolutely incredible...I really like the sound. Too bad the grills do not match, one has a reddish tone to it (Beautiful) and the other is brown....looks nice, but the other one is stunning!
Any ideas would be appreciated! I have a ton of speakers I am going to rebuild so I am sure I'll have many more questions!
Oh, one last thing....any idea when these were made?
