I have the RM25si MkII's in my main room for the past 4 years while almost all of my other equipment has been upgraded in that time. I am assuming the XL's are fairly similar in sound.
Anyway, the MkII's are AWESOME! You will not be sorry. These speakers should sell for 8-10K a pair. They are extremely detailed and revealing of every upstream change yet retain a relaxing musicality that I have not heard from other box speakers.
Also, if you buy them and ultimately want a change, Josephs retain their value like few other speakers. If you don't believe me, check out Audiogon's bluebook.- Good luck
