I also have Fontaines, but the originals. Yours are slightly more efficient. I am very satisfied with my system:
ICs from BlueJeansCable: Belden 1505F;
Speaker wires: DIY Cat5 (six cables twisted together per speaker);
Amp: Van Alstine Fet-Valve Ultra 550 (hybrid; 250wpc+)
Pre: Mapletree Audio 2A SE Linestage (2x12SN7GT tubes; separate power supply)I love the sound. Plenty of power for these, even in my large-ish room. Though definitely need a subwoofer. I've been very happy with my ACI Titan, easily integrated at lowest crossover setting. I've not yet heard the IIs but wouldn't expect much different sound since same drivers and crossover (or lack thereof) but for a better bass extension (41 Hz vs. 55 Hz). Although like I said you'll still (probably) need a subwoofer.
Good luck with them. They are a great sounding speaker.
