I owned the large Advents and Rogers LS3/5A in 1977.With 3 little children in a rather small apartment, I had to play these at low volume.Direct comparisons playing the same Pink Floyd et al, I was disappointed with the Advent and sold the pair off at a very low price.I had found that the Rogers had a much better voice reproduction and general coherence of music.I was using an Onkyo A5 and a Marantz 2040 amps with a Technics turntable and Audio Technica cartridge.I had invited a few friends to have a comparison and they also preferred the Rogers.I asked the Advent people about the power of my amps and they replied saying if they could drive the Rogers,they were good enough for the Advents.Regards
