pavers: $3 at home depot. not a wide variety of sizes...go to a fabric store, buy yourself some felt-- wrap 'em like a present and glue it to the paver with construction adhesive.
massive, cheap, and not wholly unattractive.. certainly almost invisible wrapped in unobtrusive felt. and.. its a good room decoupler..
