Solens and SCR are very good caps.One can certainly change the "flavor" or "tonality" of the speaker by swapping in exotic caps BUT one must ensure that the electrical characteristics of the caps are the same and if not, the results one hears has more to do with the mismatch in the electrical interaction of the x-over circuit/driver than anything to do with the materials the cap is constructed with.
"I remember that the Unity's selling point was that time coherence was achieved in the crossover so I am somewhat leery in changing anything."While true time alignment has alot more to do with just the X-0ver, I would be hesistant to change out the caps but that is just me, especially with a product with the pedigree that Unity audio has :-)
