Used Speaker Bargains ... Your Suggestions ?

Why don't we list our suggestions for used speakers so folks might have some idea of Gem's to look for.

Here are some of mine.
The following speakers seem to sound good on what you now have, and get better as your equipment improves.

Most Von Schweikert's, especially older VR 4's and DB 99's
Most Vandersteen's, except 2CI's
Merlins
Infinity Prelude PFR's
Infinity IL 40's
Chapman T 7's
Quad 63's
Magnepan SMG A's

The following speakers are also recommended with the warning they are a little harder to get sounding right.

B&W 801 Matrix series 2 and 3's
Original Klipsch Forte's
Klipsch Cornwall 2's
VMPS RM 40's
Most used Magnepans w/o ribbon tweeters, IF not rattling or buzzing
Theil 3.6
Martin Logan Aerius
Acoustat 1+1's
Sound Labs
Klipsch CF 4 and CF 3's, preferrably version 1, or version 2.
AVOID version 3's!

I have actually owned many of these speakers, or had friends whose hearing I trust suggest the rest.
