I have not heard the M 80's but did own the M 60's . I think that they are brutaly bright and unforgiving . I did not care for them at all . Axiom does offer some replacement resisters to try to tame the tweeters but I was not satisfied .
I have auditioned the Studio 100's and found them to be a nice speaker .
However , for less money I would suggest Soliloquy . They are not manufactured anymore but represent a very good value . You should be able to find a pair of the 6.3i's , their flagship , used for the price of the Axioms's new . I would put them at least equal to the Paradigms in sound quality although their cabinets would prbably be closer to that of the Axioms .
