as far as electronics goes. Wide bandwidth is part and parcel to low IMD and high slew rate, both of which are desirable IMO.With speakers, however, it's a waste of money and engineering. If soneone wants to waste their money, fine. As you note, you'll need to keep your head in a vice to "perceive" anything--good luck with that.
Your example of 3kHz/8kHz is spurious; I never said you shouldn't have response up to 20k.
