Two question if you please.First, I have a set of Altec Lansing 890A speakers that I bought new many years ago. The cases are a bit long in the tooth and could use some cosmetic repair but the speakers work great. I had the grills off the speakers the other day and noticed that one of my cats, at some point in time, has wet on the bottom part of one of the 10" speakers. Is there a solution that I can use to clean this up without damaging the speakers.
Secondly, I have a nice set of Pioneer speaker cabinets that are some what larger (approximately 30%) than the 890A cabinets. How critical is the cabinet design to the performance of the speakers? In short, would the 890As sound as good if I moved them to the Pioneer cabinets?
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter, it is greatly appreciated.
