Hi All,I went to audition the Sonus Faber Concerto Home at a near by Magnolia HI-FI store. I was not the least impressed. I had read good things about the Concerto Home but, I was very disappointed. Woman’s voices sounded ok but the instruments just didn't sound whole. The big thing I noticed was that the piano sounded very light or even back stage.
I started to think the speakers were not yet broken in. Or it might have been the electronics. They were being driven by a Primare integrated amp and a Sony DVD player for the source. They also were using Audio source cables. The setup seemed decent enough. Again, I was very disappointed. I felt my old Paradigm Titans sounded better.
If you have any thoughts to why there was a lack of impressive sound I would appreciate your input. Are the old Signums similar to the Concerto Home?
Thanks MungBean
