Have you compared the SACD layer to the redbook

on that Dire Straits album?
I wonder if the redbook layer might sound a wee bit better than the original vinyl. I only say this because it seems that many albums released on SACD were remastered from the original masters and would sound better than Vinyl that might already be second/third generation.
OTOH I might just be full of it and dont know what Im talking about! :)
