Beatle's fan - a trivia question re: Abbey Road

a new turntable cartridge has really brought out a lot of sound from my lp's that i'd not heard before...kinda freakin' me out.

During 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer', Paul cracks up about 1 minute into the song. Anyone know what caused it? its like someone goosed him during the take.

my lp is old, its probably not an orig pressing or anything though. it sais apple records SO-383. The jacket reads EMI.

Right after the 1st chorus, during the lines "writing 50 times, I must not be so, oh-oh-oh" he laughs, loses it, for a split second, when he sings the word 'writing'.

amazing that take made it as the final cut.

i'm also wondering if folks w/cd players can hear this. its easily audible on my TT. i figure its a known snafu. first time i heard it I laughed, you can tell he enjoyed whatever the disturbance was.

oh, and you can hear Ringo fart during Octopus' Garden just before the 2nd chorus.

just kidding!

the AT 440MLa is a righteous cartridge though, i've listened to this Lp dozens of times.

Pro-Ject Expression TT.
