sweet comfort thru many a night. Super well recorded LPs and the CD box set 1983-1991 is a contender. An enormous vision and a terrific and dynamic cast of players in multitudes of combinations, playing and making their own the songs of others.
All artists on 4AD (which is not in the bay area) and what a label it was in it's heyday. Mesmerizing and haunting and it still captures my imagination.....and on the box set a 4th disc with the original artists recordings...highlights? Listed here:
