New music colors my world in the same way new music colored my world when I was a youth.Memories are almost a drag - living for today is what rock and roll is about. Book worms and intellectuals don't get this, never have and never will.

Sure thing zman. Can't enjoy a Hot Snakes, Sparklehorse or an Against Me record? Sounds like your problem to me - I just turned 49 and am getting off on new music as much, maybe even more, than ever in my life.
The problem with talking about music is that the guys who seem to know the most are those who most often share your opinion on the state of rock music. Clueless?
