To chart required both airplay and sale of SINGLES. Hard rock had already begun it's move away from 45s and top 40 radio to album oriented, exclusively rock radio.Though I was still listening to AM in the early 80s, and I must of heard it there, because I bought Moving Pictures as one of my first albums.
