What? No Hackett? He isn't interested either. I doubt Collins, Rutherford, and Banks really wanted a reunion beyond the 'And then there were three' lineup anyway. So people, leave your facepaint and flower hats at home, the is the 'We really really Can't Dance Tour'.I've argued this over at ProgEars (there's a new Genesis reunion thread at least once a week), to no avail. There are some deluded fans who believe a Gabriel led Genesis would be a smash, but I'll venture a guess that there are more people who didn't know that Gabriel was ever in Genesis than those who'll be willing to pay $200.00 to see an aging pop/rock band that isn't named The Rolling Stones.
So would a reunion really be a reunion w/o Gabriel and Hackett? Would the inclusion of Gabriel make it more viable?
Doesn't matter, cuz the people who'll sponsor the reunion want the version that sold all those hits and not the answer to a trivia question. They want to sellout arenas and stadiums, not Nearfest.
