Turn, Turn, Turn and Eight Miles High are two terrific reads on that era of music when it went from folk to folk rock and beyond. I don't think that TTT is anywhere as good as EMH which reviews in it's first part what he examined in TTT.
The pivotal years from 64-70 are especially well covered with interesting facts and research that was new to me.
