Yes, I agree Continuum is John Mayer's best effort which includes several cuts with a nice bluesy or easy listening rock sound. I think the recording is slightly clipped or tubey sounding, not bad or anything, but warm and soft in character. People tend to be very critical of Mayer due to his extreme popularity and somewhat of a teen beat following, but he is definitely talented and has become a much better singer.I cringe a little when I see or hear him do the occassional Clapton, Stevie Ray imitation.
I would love to see Buddy Guy do an acoustic performance. I can take or leave him on electric.
