was a German general's description of the British troops from WW1.THe best way to support the troops is to avoid sending them to war. Bush merely means support the war and if he wants to exploit the deaths of thousands both American, British, Iraqi, other Moslem and everyone else for his political motives then he deserves every bit of crap to rain down upon his head.War always reminds me of the scene from Blackadder Goes Forth where General Melchett tells Blackadder to tell the troops about to crawl through barbed wire into the enemy machine gun fire that "we are behind them all the way". To which Blackadder comments, "Yes, sir, about 35 miles behind them".
Politicians of all colours find it easy to slaughter the young of another generation in the pursuit of their goals.
Well they can do it with absolutely NO support from me.
If there was one war worth fighting it was ww2 and that is now history.
If this is the best way we have to sort out problems then we will not survive for long.
If this world is here to support the armaments industry then you can also do it without my support.
The anti-war movement grows.Here there is a huge exercise planned for north Queensland next year involving thousands of Australian and American troops and it will include the shelling of coral reefs and other heritage areas.
I have already volunteered to help organise part of the protest that will block this huge waste of money and resource.
