Because his achievements as a musician & entertainer far outweigh his foibles, drug problems, abuse of women, and other criminal acts?Jimi Hendrix was said to physically abuse women as well, and if you did some research, you could come up with plenty of other names also, I suspect. Should we not honor Hendrix for his guitar playing?
Surely a man who assaults or abuses a woman deserves to be called on it, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve recognition for their achievements.
Even suggesting that honor is not appropriate is weak, even for a sockpuppet.
