Isle Of View compared to The Pretenders Loose in LA. First of all, Chrissie looks better in her jeans with a red guitar than any human who ever strutted across a stage. Bar none.
Now, IOV is an amazing video of the band with a string section behind them. I saw this confab live at one of Neil's shows and my jaw was displaced. In the video there is excellent camera work and Chrissie ids in full bloom. One of the finer Video rock experiences there is.
The best sequence...her lip quivering in Back On The Chain Gang. There has never been more refined and better execution of a quivering lip, except at the CottonTail Ranch one time, but I digress.
In Loose in LA, her quiver has been stilled. She has a limp band and the video is poor.
