A TWIST: I heard, for the first time, what I believe Robert Johnson *really* sounded like

After some reading up on the subject and tweaking the playback speed through Adobe Audition, I'm convinced: Robert Johnson's recordings were sped up. I know he was a young guy at the time, but I suspect he had a more masculine voice than what we've been lead to believe. For example, I slowed Cross Road Blues down by about 10% and the result was startling. Now, THAT is the sound of man singing the blues. Try it--you might be just as amazed.
