Not exactly rock I guess and not exactly a CD but software that generates an almost endless stream of ever changing images (errrr 77 million variations/combinations) along with a musical equivalent.
If you enjoy Eno's ambient side then this is an extremely nice thing to ask for for Xmas.
Different parts of the programme generate overlays of images which change in terms of brightness colour and indeed fade in and out at different rates over each other. Thus the thing just keeps changing and you can control the speed to some extent
I am thinking of having it as a "painting" for the living room using a cheap screen.
there is a DVD telling you all about it which is quite cool and then a disc of the software to load on your computer.
I love it.
