I did a google search and found a review of an album full of House of the Rising Sun remakes called "Best Little Whorehouse in Guterslosh". It has the following songlist:
1. Boris Brown - Es steht ein Haus im Westen (House of the Rising Sun)
2. The Cousins - Das alte Haus in New Orleans (House of the Rising Sun)
3. Johnny Hallyday - Das alte Haus in New Orleans (House of the Rising Sun)
4. Bata Illic - Es stand ein Haus in New Orleans (House of the Rising Sun)
5. Inge BrÃ¼ck - O John (House of the Rising Sun)
Bonus track:
6. Orchester GÃ¼nter Gollasch - Es steht ein Haus in New Orleans (House of the Rising Sun)
The review goes on to say there are literaly thousands of remakes of this tune. I didn't realize there were so many. I would be interested to hear the version you have if you want to send it.
