Apparently he does this series of shows every year in Melbourne.
Can't you play the DVD shown on his site?
Having now slept on it, I can't think of a single songwriter I would let you get away with claiming as greater than Paul.
The stories of how the songs came into being which he gave for most more than made up for any lack of band. Which is the reason I didn't want to go on the first night to get Deeper Water, perhaps my favourite song.
By the time he got to telling how he had been at a funeral for an aboriginal elder who had spent part of his life wandering from town to town looking for work and generally finding white distrustful if not downright violent, when coming into town he would immediately look for Smoke Under The Bridge to find like minded people I was in that state of engagement with the moment where time is non existent.
