Had the pleasure of seeing Shawn Colvin live last night at the Union Chapel in Islington. I'm floating on a cloud of happiness today.
Shawn sang a complete unexpected acoustic set just her and her guitar with the aid of some Soothers for her throat. Amazing performance with some of the best versions I've heard of songs such as Polaroids. Several new songs from her latest album Theses four walls which incidentally sounds terrific plus a lot of old well loved songs. Even playing requests for the audience. Encored with amongst others Crazy by Gnarls Berkley and a Beatles song I can't remember the title of but a favourite old ballad.
Very enjoyable evening like having Shawn sing in your living room.
