My favorite ACL of this year and one of the all-time best. Great selection of material from the past and from his new LP "Pay the Devil". He gives his excellent touring band plenty of room to stretch out. The lap steel player, don't know her name, was exceptional.
The set list is on the PBS web site. St. James Infirmary was killer, it's always been a personal favorite. The closer "Gloria" was for me, the weakest number in the set. Van just isn't the angry young man he was in his Them days. All told, an excellent performance.
