Apart from being sampled wholesale by Africa Bambaataa they influenced a hell of a lot of non-rock oriented people and bands.
You can follow that (admitedly sometimes dubious footprints) through The Human League, Depeche Mode, through electro and dance, you could call down New Order.
Ultimately you could argue they have influenced most pop production these days, in the way you could lay rock (if you will) at perhaps Ike Turner's door.
