A biopsy entails puncturing the prostate with a needle and extracting
six of more core samples of tissue. So, if the prostate is cancerous,
then there are now a bunch of holes for cancer cells to slip through.
Seems like a golden opportunity for metastasis. And since prostate
cancer is very slow growing, perhaps a prostate biopsy is an
unecessary risk. If those cells travel to the lungs or brain, they
are not slow gowing there. Regards,J.R.
