Here in Manhattan there's a Tower Records and a Virgin Megastore about ten blocks apart. Both have a good selection, but the Virgin store is a lot more fun. The collections are spread out in a huge space with long aisles so you don't feel crowded even when the store has lots of customers. Just the way the whole store is set up it's a fun place to browse around for an hour or two. The atmosphere is fun. Can't quite put my finger on it.
