This legacy edition consists of two discs:1) the first disc features the "Pearl" album, with six bonus tracks; and 2) the second disc features a 13-song live set from the Festival Express Tour, Canada (recorded June 28--July 4, 1970).
Having already listened to disc one, I am four songs into the live set. We all know Janis' reputation as an incendiary live performer. I actually prefer the live set to the original album. Does anybody else feel this way? It's just rawer, and it makes me want to rent/buy the Festival Express DVD to view Janis' performance.
