are you aware of Misty River? Caused a stir at the Los Vegas show a couple of years ago....4 crack players and 4 wonderful singers.
They used to hang out at the Stillwater Camp at the Walnut Festival in Kansas....in the Pecan Grove hard up alongside the Walnut River. There, on those balmy Kansas nights, they would bop into the camp after playing on the official stage and have a plate of pig that smoked for 24 hours and a beer....
Then they'd join the other folks in the camp for a sing along by the roaring fire.....these gorgeous soaring voices doing all kinds of bluegrass tricks to songs that you least expected to sound great as a BG tune....Mama's Got A Squeezebox....I've Just Seen a Face....
and on and on....
They record in analogue and their CDs are acoustal wonders....the music is supreme.
