Howeve I am a huge fan of mixes and African influenced or sourced music. One of the finest songs is on a harder than heck to find CD called Trance Planet Vol 1 on the Worldly Music label from now defunct Triloka records....It is a song the pea des the cases of how women from the tribe are forced into prostitution in order to survive.
You may find it on a CD by the group:
Orchestra Marrabenta Star De Mocambique it is called...well...it is hard to decider the word...."nwahulwana" the spelling is likely wrong....it is from the 70's perhaps and was used in a VW commercial, little did they know it was about the plight of these unfortunate souls...it is a great son and the Trance Planet series is astounding.
