I always thought that CT were more influenced by the Move and early ELO than hits-era ELO. But you're right: The album does have the sound of Mssrs. Lynne and Wood all over it. Which isn't a bad thing, IMO. There are certainly worse influences to draw from! But the album is excellent, continuing a winning streak started with "Woke up with a Monster."
