yes i agree i love "Dry Dreams" and "I Write Your Name". between those 3 LP's and his book Basketball Diaries, I have been a devoted Jim Carroll fan since around 1981.and yes, i have seen him live a couple of times in Seattle. it's only been for his spoken word performances but those are just as captivating! i first saw him back around 1988 or 89 at the University of Washington. he spoke with Debrah Iyall (from Romeo Void). the next time i saw him was around 1991 or 92 in a pretty small club that i cannot remember the name too. after his performance he hung out with about 8 of us fans and chatted and signed his books/records for almost over an hour. very, very fascinating person!!! i really long to see him again soon!
