It was a great evening. Micheal McDonald broke down everyones hearing saftey thresh hold with sizziling sonic peaks The venue sound system seemd a little flat(one dimensional).. except for the horns. The horns sounded very organic, with every honk and squeek audible. You could hear the reed vibrate and the spit sparkle. The entire band sound was hot. They played right through the middle, and at times around, and occasionally in oposition of all thier favorites. Aside from nastalgia, Mike McDonald added little. I sorta thought he would saddle up with the do wop gals, instead he was given stage right. He sang one I thought I would never hear in concert " Show Biz Kid".... one of my faves. Donald seemed quite please with himself. Smary and condescending his voice sounded great. He seemd to treat each song with a bit of reverance. Acting or not, we loved that. Walter was mildy interested in his part. Fortunatley he did not sing and fortunately he did play. This was completely different to the concert I saw 10 yrs ago where Becker was the ring master and Fagen the dower hipster dufus trugging through the SD 101 pre req. I recommed the show
