I've always had relatives living throughout Oahu. However, when I went over, I stayed with my grandparents, who lived near UH-Manoa. My scanner sucks. This was from around 2000, at Makapu'u.
We kept going, and ended up at Bellows. That's my head in the water, which, on this day, had absolutely no surf. That fine sand sticks to you, as if it were superglued.
You're right; everyone at Lanikai takes photos of the sea. So thank you for bucking that, and taking one, looking at the mountains.
