Thanks. That's helpful. Here I've been looking for a magic bullet--pop the CD in the CD Drive and watch all the information flow into the database--and you tell me it ain't going to happen. I have to figure out how to get it in myself with a wee bit of an asist from CDDB.Hmmm, sends me back to planning. I might decide this is all more effort than it's worth and continue with my bedraggled and unorganized too full shelves in which more than a few CDs just get lost.
I have, for instance, a great CD, at least one I love, of Simon Rattle and the Birmingham whatever, playing Duke Ellington. Just suddenly disappeared last summer in the midst of repainting the living room (all the CDs and the stereo system are there). Looked everywhere. Finally, about three months later, it simply reappeared about three shelves out of pocket. Still don't know whether it had been there all along.
