National Style O single Resonator Square Neck 1937.There's a picture of it in the booklet that comes with David Grisman's Tone Poems III.
Quote from the booklet corroborating: "A resurgence of interest in this model occurred almost overnight in the mid 80's when the English group Dire Straits, featuring blues-influenced guitarist Mark Knopfler, used a photo of one on the front cover of their best selling album, "Brothers in Arms."
