It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

"French" EMI label

I read in rec.classical.recordings..

On Beethoven Concertos : Gilels's great 4th as part of a cycle (w/ Vandernoot in 1-2, Cluytens in 3, Ludwig in 4-5) that's on a French EMI budget set of "Les Concertos" (also includes Oistrakh/Cluytens' VC and Oberine/Oistrakh/Knushevitsky's Triple Concerto).

I searched all over arkivmusic and amazon, CDNow, Towers, EMI website and just google search.. Can't find it. The only thing that was similiar was a 2CD set on Tchaikovsky (Les Concertos) in the EMI website.

Does anyone know anything about these CDs? If it is 'budget' I'd bet they are great value-for-money stuff.

But it does seem strange that it'll ever be 'budget' since some of them already came out as Testament CDs (e.g. the Gilels PC 4 & 5 with Ludwig/Philharmonia Orchesta)

Please advise, thanks.
