I purchased UP, partially to keep peace in the house, all the females here love Shania. But neither the Red or Green disc could keep my attention without visual cues. I'm looking forward to her next DVD, the more I buy for the girls, the more I can get away with buying for me, and I definitely will stay focused on the DVD. To me all the songs on UP sounded the same and YIKES!! there are two discs with the same songs. I coundn't get through either one without my mind wandering off or picking up something to read.

However, I bought another two disc set at the same time, Alison Krauss and Union Station Live, the difference between this and UP is like night and day. A wide variety of songs and styles, spine tingling vocals and great sound staging. I have yet to make it through either of these discs without getting goose bumps. I actually tried to do some reading and watch TV(with the sound muted)while Alison & Union Station was spinning, and I just got sucked in. No way I could read, or watch TV, I had to pay full attention. I gave in, dropped my book, closed my eyes, forgot about everything else, and just enjoyed the music. Man, what a ride. When you have had enough of the visual stimulation that Shania provides and are ready for some GREAT sonics, give Alison Krauss & Union Station Live a try (and Alison is quite easy on the eyes also, though I usually can't focus very well until she stops singing).
