Sorry that we're moving slowly on the split into classical and jazz forums

We had a discussion yesterday, and Rod is very supportive of our desire to split this forum, but I still don't have an ETA for the actual implementation. One thing which is going to be problematic (for me!) is that I would like to move at least some of the existing discussions here on the Music forum over to the Classical forum. It seems like this will be very manually intensive (they have to be moved thread by thread), and I've proposed moving only the classical discussions which started in 2017 - the previous ones would stay here on the re-named jazz forum (at least for awhile), which is not an ideal solution. I could move earlier (pre-2017) classical discussions to the Classical forum at a later time, but this would wreak havoc with the chronology because each new moved thread goes to the top of the discussion list on its destination forum - so I think you can see what the problem would be.

I'm going to be away down at Stanford all of next week (probably living there in a dorm!), so I won't be able to get too much done until I return a week from today. Thanks for everyone's patience on this!

EDIT: With the ingenious way Rod has implemented the new Classical and Jazz forums, it looks as if I won't have to be moving any of the old classical threads at all - they'll just stay here on the Music forum.
