I like Gardner's past Szymanowki; IMHO he has a better feel for the Polish composer than he does for Janacek. I've enjoyed everything I've heard from non-interventionist yet sensitive Tasmin Little.
I hope recording projects a "from-the-bottom-up" glow and ambiance!
