I once had dinner with Herb Belkin, who bought MFSL when it was mostly about steam-train recordings, and turned it into a powerhouse. He was side-splitting on the subjects of Eric Carmen and The Raspberries; he said that but for Carmen's characterological failings, The Raspberries "could have been bigger than Grand Funk Railroad," which was the first and last time I ever heard that comparison made.
Carmen blundered at least twice, borrowing copyrighted music by Rachmaninoff (second piano concerto and second symphony). So now we have an internet ad for probiotics that I at least found to be side-splittingly funny.
I hope they send the money to the right place!

John
