Midnight Blue is a popular one. When I was visiting an audiophile friend, he whipped out that record ( Music Matters 45s, IIRC ) to show off his system. I coudln't sit through the first track. I politely asked if he has something a wee bit more upbeat with a touch of sharp edge. :)
I also have the Blue Lights but mainly for Andy Warhol cover art. But I love many of his work as a side man. Particularly with Bill Evans.
A Child is Born is my all time favourite late-night chill music. Burell joins in solo from the 2nd verse on. Here Evans's piano as well as snappy Ray Brown's bass provide enough contrasts and textural variations for me to keep me engaged. Plus, I love this tune regardless who's playing, to be honest with ya.. ( written by the Magnificent Thad Jones):)
