I like what Mark Donahue and Matthew Pons did in Detroit with Slatkin. Their Rachmaninoff 3rd is my (or more my system's) ideal: sound not so upfront, and imaging that reminds of Decca's heyday.
Is their Strauss a little more blended with the hall than the Honeck Rosenkavalier? In two channel?
